If you wish to reserve guaranteed space in a YSU dormitory, you should go to the section marked Campus Life on the web page. Click on University Housing. If you have already applied for housing, you need to click on the section marked Housing Acceptance Agreement and then the section, “Apply”. Print the acceptance agreement off on your computer, read it, sign it, and send in the necessary deposit money ($200). Once you have sent in the agreement form and the money, you will be assigned a dormitory. Depending on availability, Housing Services will try to comply with your first and second dormitory choices.
-
Be sure and read the housing agreement carefully. Note that students who need housing during all or part of any breaks such as Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks as well as the time between fall and spring semesters must request permission from the University in writing at least two weeks before the end of the applicable semester. Students who are granted break housing might be assigned to temporary accommodations other than their rooms. There is an additional charge for break housing.
-
If you wait to pay your deposit money for a dormitory room until your arrival on campus, you may not get your first or second choice of housing. Housing Services will place you in whatever dormitory has a room available.
-
Please note: housing fees are subject to change.
