WHAT IS AN ABSTRACT?

An abstract is a concise statement of the content of a scholarly work. An abstract should identify:

• the purpose or objective of your work,
• the methods employed, and
  
• the outcome or conclusions of your work.

Your abstract constitutes a permanent written record of your achievement. Therefore, great care must be taken to assure meaningful content and grammatical correctness.
