KEY TO SUCCESS: PREPARE FOR THE JUDGING PROCESS
Being prepared for your presentation requires that you are familiar with the criteria that will be used to judge or evaluate your presentation. Each presentation will be judged by at least two faculty. The faculty judge will use seven different criteria and provide a numeric score where: 1 = Fair, 2 = Good, 3 = Very Good, and 4 = Excellent .
The criteria are:
Organization of Ideas: Well-structured, easy to follow, efficient use of time allotted.
Visual Aids/Supporting Materials: Constructed and used well, reinforced message.
Knowledge of Topic: Demonstrated a firm understanding, good response to questions.
Communication: Verbal, nonverbal choices appropriate to topic, occasion, audience, language, eyes and face, body and gestures, voice, appearance.
Creativity/Critical Thinking: Explained a novel and/or insightful approach or topic.
Context/Relevance: Drawn well from prior work, great field potential. If applicable: Strong methodology, design, sampling, and analysis of data.
Overall Quality: Reflected a high degree of professionalism appropriate to the field.
