Registration & Eligibility - All current undergraduate and graduate students actively engaged in scholarly activity, creative works, and research are eligible to register and present at QUEST 2009.
- Multiple authors are permitted. Each author must register separately.
What is an abstract? An abstract is a concise statement that summarizes your presentation. An abstract should identify the objective or purpose of your work, the methods employed, and the outcomes or results of your work. It is highly recommended that you consult professional journal articles within your discipline to get a good idea of what is expected. Presentation Modes - ORAL or STANDING: Oral presentations (talks) are traditionally the the most common mode of presentation. Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes, including questions and answers. Each presentation sesion is 90 minutes in length. Presenters are required to attend the entire session to which they are assigned. All presentation rooms will be equipped with Windows platform computers equipped with PowerPoint, CD-ROM drive, and a LCD projector. Other equipment such as 35mm slide projectors and overhead projectors are available by request.
- POSTER: Poster presentations are also very popular. Four 90 minute poster sessions are scheduled. Presenters are required to attend their posters for the duration of the session. Thirty minutes set-up and tear-down time is provided before and after each session. Presenters are provided a panel measuring 46 inches in height by 92 inches in length. The display panels have a cork surface. Thumbtacks and pushpins will be provided. Other hanging supplies such as staples, duct tape, or any adhesives are not permitted.
- SPECIAL REQUESTS: QUEST is committed to providing a forum that is conducive to all styles of presentation and special needs. Every attempt will be made to accommodate any reasonable request in terms of room size, acoustics, equipment, and furnishings. Presenters must be prepared to provide assistance as requested.
