Major

You will master media performance, production or business skills in core courses. You may also choose a electives and optional specialty tracks to develop a specific focus.

  • Media Arts Track

    You will take 12 courses in telecommunications and English to complete the track. Many of the courses focus on best practices and operations within the field. You will complete your degree with a seminar and capstone project.

  • Sports Broadcasting Track

    This track includes 13 additional courses in telecommunications and one in English. Your coursework will focus on how sports writing and production operates, as well as scriptwriting and important elements within media and production. You will complete your degree with a sports broadcasting internship and capstone project.

  • Telecommunication Studies Minor

    The Telecommunications minor involves seven courses in telecommunications, giving you a deeper perspective into the introductory programming, sales, management and operations sides of the field. The minor is 20 credit hours.
