Honors Spaces

Whether you're living the commuter, Cafaro or Courtyard life, you'll find a designated Honors area on campus that you can call home base.

Fok Hall Student Center

Your first touchpoint to YSU Honors will be our new welcome and student center at Fok Hall.

Located on Wick Avenue right at the entrance of the university and across from the president's home, Fok Hall features study and lounge areas for students, as well as several recreational spaces and meeting rooms. And down the road, you'll even have a professional place to hold Skype or phone interviews for potential jobs, graduate school, fellowships and more.

Fok Hall also welcomes prospective Honors students, as well as Honors alumni, at open house and reunion events throughout the year.

Honors Residence Halls

Cafaro House Residence Hall

Serving as the Honors dorm on campus since its construction, Cafaro House is a long-standing tradition of culture and community among Honors students, staff and alumni.

This is not your traditional dorm. The floors of Cafaro are arranged in suites of different sizes, and each comes with its own common living area that you'll share with three, seven or 17 other people. Enjoy additional study spaces on every floor, as well as an academic wing on the first floor with a resource library, seminar room, computer lab and multi-purpose room.

The basement of Cafaro features a full-service kitchenette, game room, workout area and television lounge, along with a free laundry room and private music practice rooms. There's even more recreational space right outside of the dorm, where you'll find a beautiful courtyard and dining hall shared with Lyden House.
