Youngstown State University is committed to making its electronic and information technologies, ("EIT") which includes all information provided though the University’s website, the University’s online learning or e-learning environment and its course management systems, for instance Blackboard technology, accessible to students, prospective students, employees, guests and visitors with disabilities, particularly those with visual, hearing and manual impairments or who otherwise require the use of assistive technology to access information provided through the University’s Digital Accessibility.

Youngstown State University is committed to taking the action necessary to be in compliance with the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), 29 U.S.C. Section 794, and its implementing regulation at 34 C.F.R. Part 104, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Title II), 42 U.S.C. Section 12131 et seq., and its implementing regulation at 28 C.F.R. Part 35.

Digital Accessibility Committee

The committee's purpose is to bring together university faculty and staff to oversee and monitor digital accessibility compliance progress across campus. It provides resources for faculty & staff to obtain guidance on specific accessibility issues.
