Youngstown State University University Admissions
Ohio residents must be high school graduates or hold a General Education Diploma (GED). ACT or SAT scores are necessary if you have been out of school less than two years or for admissions into certain restricted programs. Non-residents must have graduated in the upper two-thirds of their high school class; or have an ACT composite score of at least 17; or have a combined SAT score of at least 820; or passed the test of the General Education Development.

Transfer admissions—Ohio residents must be in good standing at the last institution attended with an overall accumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 system). Those with less than the required average may be considered for admission under probationary conditions. Non-residents must be in good standing at the last institution attended with an overall accumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 system).
