Focus Career Assessment

FOCUS is an interactive computer-based career guidance system that provides career exploration and educational planning assistance. FOCUS consists of a series of steps designed to help individuals assess personality characteristics, interests, skills, and values, as well as offering information about occupations compatible with these personal attributes.

FOCUS is conveniently available on the Internet to currently enrolled students at Youngstown State University and YSU Alumni. To access the login page in FOCUS, click on the link below. If this is the first time you have gone to the FOCUS website, you will be asked to create an account. Once you have done that, you will then be able to begin working with the software.

After you have completed your FOCUS assessment, you are encouraged to contact the Office of Career & Counseling Services and schedule an appointment with one of our coordinators to review and discuss the results with you.
