Fall 2008 Job Expo

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 30th! The Office of Career & Counseling Services sponsors a university-wide job expo each fall. This event, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., will serve as a kick-off for recruiting activity for the 2008-2009 academic year. The annual Fall Job Expo provides employers with an excellent opportunity to showcase their organization and to make connections with students and recent alumni who are interested in learning more about their organizations and the opportunities available for employment. Over 90 employer organizations and more than 500 students and recent alumni are expected to participate in this event. Registration for the Fall 2008 Job Expo will be online and will begin in May 2008.

Spring 2008 Job Expo

YSU's Spring 2008 Job Expo was held Wednesday, April 9th in Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. The Spring Job Expo provided employers with an excellent opportunity to showcase their organization and to make connections with students and recent alumni who were interested in learning more about their organizations and the opportunities available for employment. Over 85 employer organizations and nearly 480 students and recent alumni participated in the Spring 2008 Job Expo.

Northeast Ohio Teacher Education Day (NOTED)

Date: April 2, 2009

Location: John Knight Center, Akron, OH

Time: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Event: This annual job fair is sponsored by a consortium of twelve colleges and universities in northeast Ohio, including Youngstown State University. The NOTED job fair is open only to students and alumni of the consortium member colleges and universities. Employers from over 100 school districts throughout the state and country are in attendance each year.

Format: In the morning (8:30-11:00 a.m.) students meet with hiring officials of the school districts in order to network and schedule interviews. Interviews are then conducted from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Office of Career & Counseling Services sponsors a university-wide job expo annually each fall.  This event is held early in the Fall Semester and serves as a kick-off for recruiting activity for the new academic year.  The annual Fall Job Expo provides employers with an excellent opportunity to showcase their organization and to make connections with students and recent alumni who are interested in learning more about their organizations and the opportunities available for employment.  Our Fall 2007 Job Expo took place Wednesday, October 3, 2007.  A total of 85 employer organizations and 450 students and recent alumni participated in this event.
