Services and Programs

Counseling services are available at no cost to campus students. Problems commonly seen during counseling sessions include:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress Management
  • Depression
  • Eating Disorders
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Relationship Problems

To best serve the client's needs, referrals can be made at the time of the initial assessment or during the treatment process when the resources needed are not available at counseling services.

Appointments can be made by telephone at 330.941.3515, or in person. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

For after hours emergencies:
If you are on campus, please call the YSU Police at 330.941.3527 for assistance. If you are not on campus, call Help Hotline Crisis Center at 330.747.2696 or your local police. You may also go to your local emergency room.

Educational Programs:
Class presentations and workshops are offered to campus groups on a variety of topics. Please call the Office of Career and Counseling Services at 330.941.3515 well in advance to arrange a presentation.
