The cost for international students to enroll in graduate-level classes at Youngstown State University has been significantly reduced under a plan approved by the YSU Board of Trustees. Like most public universities in the U.S., YSU charges international students (and other out-of-state students) a tuition surcharge. At YSU, this surcharge dropped from $244.29 per credit in 2006-2007 to just $8.34 per credit beginning in the 2007-2008 academic year. As a result, the cost for international students to enroll in graduate-level classes at YSU is 40 percent lower beginning in fall semester 2007.
Nineteen international students from nine countries recieved degrees in cemmencement ceremonies on May 19th, including (left to right) Nana Osei Bonsu, Monica Wibuana, and Frank Appiah.
