The most common ways to study abroad at YSU are:
Youngstown State University has reciprocal exchange agreements between with Lunghwa University of Science & Technology in Taiwan and with Yeditepe University in Turkey. This means that students pay the YSU tuition rate, plus housing and transportation costs. We also have an agreement with the University of Winchester in the United Kingdom that allows YSU students to enroll at Winchester while paying reduced tuition & fees.
Group Study Tours Sponsored by YSU Faculty. These trips are usually arranged by a faculty member based on major or academic interest. Recent and current programs include Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, Russia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom, such as study tours offered through the Williamson College of Business Administration. Programs sponsored by members of the Ohio International Consortium (OIC). This consortium agreement utilizes other Ohio public universities’ programs to enable YSU students to study abroad as a transient student.
