| Comprehensive
Exam
Comprehensive examinations are taken during the last semester the student
is enrolled in Internship. Students are eligible to take comprehensive
exams if they are enrolled in Internship, have a satisfactory GPA, and
are within 6 hours of completing coursework. The comprehensive exams are
offered twice a year: October and March. Dates will be announced at the
beginning of each semester. Completed applications should be submitted
to Counseling Office by Sept 1 for Fall or Feb 1 for Spring semesters.
Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
The comprehensive
exams consist of a multiple choice exam comprised of 240 multiple choice
questions from the students’ Counseling, Student Affairs, and Leadership
courses. Students must correctly answer 75% of the questions to receive
a passing grade.
Students can complete
the checklist below to determine their eligibility for the Comprehensive
Examination. If you have met the requirement listed please place an "X"
in the blank. If you have not met the requirement, please contact your
Advisor for clarification.

Students must pass
comprehensive exams to graduate from the program. Students who fail to
meet the minimal requirements for passing the comprehensive exams may
petition the graduate faculty for remedial opportunities.
Portfolio
Students in the Student Affairs Leadership and Practice program are required
to submit a completed portfolio during the last semester of Internship.
Additional guidelines will be announced in the future.
Students must
successfully complete and present a portfolio in order to graduate from
the program. |
