- The EARLY-SOAR (Student Orientation Advisement Registration) program is a one-day orientation, advisement, and registration program that is offered to first-year students who have applied for admission to YSU by February 15. Students are given an opportunity to be among the first to register for fall semester classes. Also, students will have an opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and students who intend to assist them throughout their career at YSU as well as visiting with representatives from various services and resources on campus.
- The SOAR (Student Orientation Advisement Registration) program is an informative and exciting one-day program for new first-year students and their parents and families. The program includes your official academic advising session, registration for classes, and a complete overview of University resources.
- The TSO: (Transfer Student Orientation) program is an enlightening half-day program specifically for transfer students. This program will provide transfer students with a thorough introduction to University resources and services. The sessions include financial aid, a connection to the Center for Student Progress and Peer Mentor staff, and campus computer account information and activation.
- The TRACK stands for Transfers and Returners' Access to Campus Knowledge, an online video orientation program. The program shows students how to register for courses, utilize campus technology, explore academic support services, connect to our financial aid and scholarships opportunities, navigate parking and campus safety, and begin your career development at YSU. This program is geared to transfer students and students returning to the University after a one year or more absence, however, first-year students who have missed the various campus orientations offered throughout the year are able to use the TRACK program, as well.
