2012 Green Ideas Happening Everywhere
- We have replaced all Styrofoam carry-out containers & cups with biodegradable products
- We continue to use only recycled-fiber brown napkins
- We continue to recycle all of our cans

- Plastic carrying bags for SubConnection sandwiches will be available only upon customer request
- All plastic Clam-Shell sandwich containers have been replaced with a line of biodegradable sandwich boxes or food-safe cello wrap

- Late Night Grill sandwich selections fully wrapped and served in paper bags (Like FIVE GUYS™)
- Special Green Opportunities
- We will offer a monthly “local vendor /eco-friendly” theme dinner
- Dinner will be funded by savings derived from going tray-less
- Dinner will utilize products of local farmers & vendors
- Dinner will be served on only biodegradable plates, napkins, straws etc. to reduce water and electricity usage
Take-Out Program Overview
- Take-Out Containers
- We will completely eliminate Styrofoam take out containers
- We will replace them with re-usable take-out trays with re-usable sealable lid
- For each student on a meal plan, we will provide one (1) tray and
one (1) lid FREE OF CHARGE for their initial take-out purchase.
- We will use the CBORD System to identify and track students as they receive their initial tray and lid
- When that student returns for their next take-out meal, they return the previously used tray and lid; it is replaced with a clean sanitized set.
- The cost to replace a tray and lid will be $10.00; it can be paid for by Pete's Points, bonus or cash
- All trays must be sealed with a lid prior to leaving Christman Dining Hall
- Take-Out Mugs
- We will completely eliminate Styrofoam cups at Christman Dining Hall
- We will replace them with re-usable mugs - 16oz/22oz sizes available
- For each student on a meal plan, we will provide one (1) mug and one (1) lid FREE OF CHARGE for their initial take-out purchase
- We will use the CBORD System to identify and track students as they receive their initial mug and lid
- When that student returns for their next take-out meal, they return the previously used mug and lid; it is replaced with a clean sanitized set.
- The cost to replace a mug and lid will be $2.00, it can be paid for by Pete's Points, bonus or cash.
- These mugs and lids will replace ALL take-out cups
