Financial Aid Night

Youngstown State University’s Financial Aid Night is a community service event that provides helpful information to the parents of students in grades 11 and 12 planning to attend college.  The program is being held just in time to prepare for YSU’s December 1st (and many other university’s) Free Application for Federal Student Aid priority filing deadlines.

what to expect at financial aid night:

• Presentation on the basics of applying for aid
• Meet our Financial Aid Counselors and ask them your questions
• Assistance with completion of the FAFSA — Please have your 2024 tax information available*
  • Students, and other contributors who will be completing the FAFSA, can create their FSA IDs at studentaid.gov prior to the event
• Connect with representatives from other campus offices

Location & Parking

The Financial Aid Night will begin at 6:00 pm and will be located at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Onsite parking will be available free of charge.

*Appointment required for FAFSA assistance during Financial Aid Night and can be obtained when registering for the event. FAFSA appointments are limited and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

Before Financial Aid Night begins at 6:00 p.m., the Office of Admissions invites you to a special on-campus visit opportunity starting at 3:00 p.m. Your visit will include an Admissions Information Session, a guided tour of campus and a residence hall, and dinner in Christman Dining Commons.
