High School Model United Nations

The YSU Regional High School Model UN is a one day program designed to emphasis substantive debate on current global issues.  Specially for high school students the on-campus program is held annually on the last Friday in April.  While referred to as a Model UN, the program actually simulates a number of international bodies including the UN Security Council, UN General Assembly Committees, the International Court of Justice, the Arab League, NATO, and the Earth Summit. As of April 2000, over 2250 high school students have attended the YSU Regional High School Model UN since the first conference held in 1989.
