2013 Homecoming King & Queen

Congratulations to this year's King & Queen, Tyler Brentley and Melissa Wasser! The winners were crowned at halftime of YSU's Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 19th vs. Western Illinois. Tyler is a Criminal Justice major and a member of F.L.Y. Guyz. He was nominated by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Melissa is a Political Science and Philosophy major and a member of University Scholars, Delta Zeta Sorority, Phi Kappa Phi, Order of Omega, Student Government Association, Moot Court Association, Philosophy and Religious Studies Club, Clarence P. Gould Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Golden Key Honor Society. She was nominated by University Scholars, Delta Zeta Sorority, and Moot Court Association.

Tyler Brentley

Organization: F.L.Y. Guyz
Major: Criminal Justice
Minor: Political Science
Professional Goals: After graduation, I plan on working as a state trooper for 3 years
which will give me the adequate experience needed to ultimately become a special investigator for the CIA.
Personal Goals: I want to make a positive impact on as many people as I possibly can in my life. I will always remember where I came from and continue to give back to those who are less fortunate than myself.

Emmanuel Nwabuogu

Organization: InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
Major: Nursing
Professional Goals: My professional goal is to finish my undergraduate with a BSN,
moving onto graduate school in pursuit of an MSN and possibly DNP. I want to practice Nursing all over the world especially in third world countries. I am praying that God will use me to reach those with severe medical needs and create opportunities for The Gospel of Jesus Christ to heard.
Personal Goals: My personal goal is pursing to know more of Jesus Christ through serving people with my degree in Nursing in response to God's love, grace and truth.

Major: Criminal Justice - Legal Process
Professional Goals: To be employed by the Federal Government (FBI, CIA, etc.) and
possibly attend Law School. I would want to focus on working with missing or exploited children and teenagers. Eventually, I would like to become a child advocacy and motivational spokesman.
Personal Goals: I ultimately want to take one day at a time, improving myself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually each day. Though there will be some bumps, I have to remind myself to keep striving and fighting, not taking any day for granted because tomorrow is not promised to us. Lastly, always reminding myself of Philippians 4:13 and being patient on things in life my heart desires; standing firm and having faith.

Professional Goals: Continue to network with people to build rapport with future
colleagues to enhance my post collegiate experience. After graduation, I would like to pursue my dream of owning top industry night clubs and bars across the country.
Personal Goals: First, graduate with a 3.0 GPA, then have a starting job in the Hospitality field. Beyond college, I would like to live a happy and fulfilling life working in the hospitality industry and hope to pay off my student loans quickly!

Professional Goals: I would like to become a marketing manager for a corporate firm and possibly break into the stock market or pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, I want to contribute to the innovation of marketing, sales and business to revamp customer relationships and redefine the meaning of customer service.
Personal Goals: To graduate in May 2014 followed by entering the graduate program at YSU to complete a Master of Business Administration. I would also like to travel and gain insight into international business and continue my involvement in serving campus and the community. In addition, I aspire to contribute heavily to Alpha Omicron Pi and the Greek Community. I would also like to strengthen the Greek Community for the future.

Major: Early Childhood Education
Professional Goals: I would like to begin with teaching elementary school students. While doing so I plan to go to school and get my master's degree in Special Education to teach those students as well. Throughout my future teaching career I want to try and teach all grade levels while attempting to reach each students' needs.
Personal Goals: I want to become an educator inside and outside the classroom. I want to create youth programs to better students, keep them out of trouble and most importantly show them the love and attention they may or may not be receiving. I also would like to write my own book one day.

International Human Rights Law.
Personal Goals: Win the Horizon League outright in 2013-2014 season and play in
