    All are invited to show off their PENGUIN PRIDE at YSUnity's inaugural Diversity Prom! This formal dance set in a 1920's vintage carnival atmosphere offers penny games, a photobooth, refreshments and plenty of room for dancing!

    Tickets may be purchased in advance by Wednesday, October 9th ($5/person or $10/couple), or at the door ($6/person or $12/couple). Come celebrate your Penguin Pride in style!

    "SMOKE OUT ARTHRITIS" BBQ


    AOII's inaugural "Smoke Out Arthritis" BBQ is an amateur cook-off event that raises money for Alpha Omicron Pi's national philanthropy – Arthritis Research. Arthritis is the #1 cause of disability in the United States, affecting nearly one in three adults, half of which are women.

    Tickets are $5 and can be purchased the day of the event or in advance from any member of AOII. The Smoke Out will be catered by Guy's Barbecue and will feature musician J.D. Eicher. Stop by the M-26 Lot to enjoy some great food, fun activities and live music to kick-off Homecoming Week!

    Office Decorating contest


    Celebrate 2013 Homecoming Week, Support the YSU Football Team, and Show Your YSU Spirit!

    Student organization offices, YSU offices, and all on-campus departments can enter to win a "Monday Morning Wake-up Party" package that includes yummy Panera Bread Pastry Rings, delicious Dunkin' Donuts, Coke beverages, party plates, a tablecloth and a Homecoming Winner's Certificate. Three winners will be chosen by the judges.

    CARMSTRONG BOCCE FOR HOPE


    The Homecoming Committee salutes the Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, Minuteman Press & Cassese's MVR as everyone who plays in their "Carmstrong Bocce for Hope" helps to raise money for the chronically and terminally ill children and for Carmstrong (YSU Scholarship & Pancreatic Cancer Research at OSU Medical Center) in memory of Carmine Cassese.

    Join celerity bartenders from the community throughout the night as they serve you throughout the night. Part of the sales of food and drink go back to the cause. Teams are now being formed and everyone from "pros" to "first-timers" are encouraged to take part.

    Registration is $25 per person or $10 for YSU students with a current valid ID. Maximum number of participants per team is (8). Mixed teams are encouraged.

    The winning team will receive (4)-tickets to the upcoming Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns game on Sunday, November 24.

    Sponsored by Campus Recreation and the Junior Nursing students, the Health Fair has posters, tips, giveaways and handouts regarding health information, education and resources. Take a stroll through the free, interactive, and fun health fair.

    Walgreens and other business will also be on hand to do consultations to pass out a few freebees and answer questions.

    DUNKIN' DONUTS MUNCHKINS EATING CONTEST


    Join "WFMJ Today" and Channel 21's Lauren Lindvig as they broadcast the contest live.

    This year's Munchkin Eating Contest has a new challenge added to it. Courtesy of Chartwells Dining Services and Dunkin' Donuts, (20) contestants will work in teams of two. Each team member will be asked to eat (10) surprise filled Munchkins while their teammate tosses them in the air for them to eat. The group to eat the most Munchkins in the alloted time will be declared the winner. Any Munchkins that hit the floor do not count - so practice could make all the difference.

    The winner receives $50 worth of Pete's Points to add to your YSU ID courtesy of this year's Homecoming Committee. Everyone walks away with an assortment of prizes for competing!

    Cheerleading Competition

    All campus organizations are invited to participate in ZTA's cheerleading competition for a cure. This event will begin promptly at 6:00pm. The competition purpose is to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. The cost is $10/team in order to compete.

    All proceeds will be donated to the ZTA Foundation and the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center. Trophies will be awarded to the top teams, and the winning team will perform at the13th Annual Pink Ribbon Cheer Classic on Sunday, October 27.

    Fall Fire Fest


    Penguin Productions is proud to announce Fall Fire Fest featuring national touring artists Josh Kelley and Bronze Radio Return. The event will take place at the Green on Grant Street, across from the new M-27 Parking Lot between Belmont Ave. and Ford Ave.
    Admission is free and open to YSU students and the public. Tickets are not required for entrance. In addition to great musical performances, Fall Fire Fest will feature a Homecoming Bonfire and Penguin Pride Rally in support of our student athletes. Head Football Coach Eric Wolford will provide a pre-game pep talk in preparation for the Saturday, October 19 game against Western Illinois.

    Food and drink specials will be provided by a variety of vendors including The Alternative Food Truck and The Rolling Pig. Student Government will be sponsoring Fall-themed snacks as well. A valid ID will be required for any drink purchases.
