The NEOMFA in Creative
Writing is an opportunity to hone your skills as a writer, explore the finer
details of your craft, and expand the scope of your creative energies. Some
features that set the NEOMFA apart from other MFA degrees are:
Collaborative Regional Design: Courses are cross-listed at all four universities, so students register freely across institutional boundaries. Unique Curricular Offerings: The creative possibilities are endless with courses in poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, literary translation, playwriting, craft & theory, and literature. Student Internships: Students have the opportunity to work for literary presses at all four universities, in theater at the Cleveland Playhouse and the Cleveland Public Theater, and in arts management through outreach programs.
Distinguished Faculty: The NEOMFA faculty have published
over fifty books of poetry, fiction, and translation, and hundreds of
short stories and poems, as well as won many national awards.
