Submission Guidelines

YACK welcomes submissions from all NEOMFA students, faculty, and alumni. Deadline for the Fall 2009 issue is October 15, 2009.

Submissions are open to all NEOMFA students, faculty, and alumni in the areas of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, playwriting, translation, artwork, and photography.

Submit your work as a word attachment or .rtf file to: yack.neomfa@gmail.com. The subject line should read: [SUBMISSION: GENRE, LAST NAME]. Please include a cover letter in the body of your email with your contact information and brief biography. Simultaneous submissions are accepted with immediate notification of publication elsewhere. No previously published work.

     POETRY: 1-3 poems

     PROSE: 1 short story, article, or novel chapter. No word limit.

     PLAYWRITING: 1 act of a play

     ART / PHOTOGRAPHY: up to 10 photographs or artwork
