Art faculty's "Drawing Attention" exhibit opens at Mount Union

Three faculty members in Youngstown State University’s Department of Art will exhibit their work in a three-person show titled “Drawing Attention,” at the Sally Otto Gallery at the University of Mount Union.

An artists’ reception is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19, 4 to 6 p.m., and the show will run through Feb. 19. The gallery is located at 34 W. Simpson Street, Alliance Ohio.

The faculty members are Professor Christine McCullough, Assistant Professor Claudia Berlinski and Adjunct Professor Terre Brock Davis.

“For several years now I have been creating smaller works that function as a series, and this invitation seemed the perfect opportunity to collaborate with two colleagues who work in a similar fashion,” McCullough said.

The title of the exhibition, “Drawing Attention”, challenges the viewer to build upon the individual images and investigate layers of personal and profound meaning.

McCullough will exhibit paintings, Davis will exhibit both paintings and drawings, and Berlinski will show photographic installations.
