Dando appointed student trustee

Natalie Dando, a junior Chemical Engineering and Mathematics major. has been appointed to serve as a student member of the YSU Board of Trustees.

The appointment by Gov. Mike DeWine runs through April 2025.

A student of the Sokolov Honors College, Dando is expected to graduate December 2025. She has a 3.91 GPA.

Dando has done research in her field since fall 2021, presenting at the Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program Regional Conference, the STEM Showcase, and at a State of Ohio Department of Higher Education event.

Dando also works as a Community Fellow through the honors college. Through her job she leads the YSU Penguin Pen Pal Program, a collaboration between local elementary schools and the honors college.
