Homecoming 2017: King, Queen and Hungry Hippos

Pumpkin carving, a swing dance, yoga, kickball, football, parade and the crowning of the king and queen are among dozens of activities planned as Youngstown State University celebrates Homecoming 2017: Black, White and Red All Over.

Tuesday, Oct. 24
10 a.m.
The ever-popular Build-A-Penguin, in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center.

Wednesday, Oct. 25
3 to 5 p.m.
Cornhole and Life-Size Hungry Hungry Hippos tournament in Stambaugh Stadium, Gyms A, B and C.

Thursday, Oct. 26
10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Penguin Nights: GREASE Edition, Kilcawley Center.

Saturday, Oct. 28
9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
. Guinness World Record attempt, WATTS.
Noon, Homecoming Parade, Fifth Avenue.
2 p.m. YSU vs. Illinois State, Stambaugh Stadiu. King and Queen will be crowned at halftime.

The homecoming court includes the following students: Hobie Butcher and Madeline Grimes, William Palma and Diana Bodrogi-Podoaba, Willie Parker and Tierney McCaster, Tyler Richter and Chandler Hoppel, and Alex Welsh and Megan Factor.
