Reeder and Darling Endowments in History host Alex Wesaw

Youngstown State University’s Reeder and Darling Endowments in History will host Alex Wesaw, Thursday, Nov. 2, for a lecture titled "Better Understood by History than by Logic: Federal Indian Policy and the Pokagon’s Experience."

Wesaw, who helped Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks receive a UNESCO World Heritage site designation, serves as  the director of American Indian Relations at Ohio History Connection. He will speak on the Native American history of the Midwest in his lecture.

The event, which begins with a reception and refreshments at 6 p.m. with the lecture starting at 6:30 p.m., will be held at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor.

The event is free and open to the public.
