Student art featured in McDonough exhibit through April 12

Works by students enrolled in the Department of Art at Youngstown State University are featured in the 83rd Annual Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition, sponsored by the Student Art Association, through April 12 at the McDonough Museum of Art on campus.

The McDonough is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, call 330-941-1400 or visit mcdonoughmuseum.ysu.edu.

The juror for the exhibition is Imin Yeh, assistant professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University and an interdisciplinary and project-based artist working in sculpture, installation and participatory events. Her recent exhibitions include the San Jose Museum of Art, Asian Art Museum I San Francisco and at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. She has been an Artist in Residency at Montalvo Art Center in Saratoga, Calif., Blue Mountain Center in New York, Sandarbh Artist Workshop in Partapur, India, and at Recology San Francisco. Yeh is the recipient of a Eureka Fellowship from the Fleishhacker Foundation and an Individual Artist Grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission.
