Business college hosts accounting/auditing seminar Sept. 16

Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration hosts the Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16.

Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update covers new developments in accounting and auditing standards, including advice on compliance with professional regulations. The course covers relevant pronouncements, exposure drafts and other guidance recently issued in the accounting, auditing, review and compilation arenas.

Presenting at the seminar is Joann Cross, professor of Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Government Financial Manager, and Certified Global Management Accountant. Her research and consulting interests are in accounting history and the application of financial reporting standards.
