Submission Deadlines
Please return in the fall for deadline information.
Submissions Guidelines Open to YSU Students, Faculty and Alumni.
We are pleased to announce a new submission policy! We well now
be enacting an open submission policy, available to everyone. 75% of the submissions will be YSU faculty, students and alumni, and 25% of the submissions will be available to everyone!
Poetry, fiction & literary essay submissions:
Drop off your submissions in the English Department (2nd Floor, Debartolo Hall) or in The Penguin Review office.
Formats:
- 3 ¼-inch floppy disks: Submissions
on disk are welcomed and encouraged. Label your disk with your name,
address, phone number and e-mail address (please print). If you
do not have MS Word, please save your file in Rich Text Format (as
an rtf file).
- Paper: If you cannot submit
on disk, your submission must be typed, double spaced, with 1-inch
margins. Type your name, address, phone number and e-mail address
on your submission.
- E-mail:
If you do not have MS Word, please save your work in
Rich Text Format and attach to e-mail. Include name, address, phone
number and e-mail address.
Artwork and Photography:
While we do accept work at the Penguin Review office for during office hours,
it is best to contact our art editor. Please include:
- Name and Contact Information
- Title of Piece
- Media
- Dimensions
Acceptance/Rejection letters will be
sent via e-mail. If an e-mail address is not available, please attach
a SASE with all submissions.
