We propose to cover
a penguin in broken and hand-cut silver and colored mirrors, including
convex mirrors. The base will be painted with silver metallic paint
and part will be covered in hand-cut mirrors. The penguin will become
interactive and constantly changing depending upon what is being
reflected in the many mirrors coverings its surface. For instance,
if placed outside in downtown Youngstown, images of the city, the
viewers, the weather, the changing light of day and night, various
colors, etc., will all be constantly in flux. No matter where the
penguin is placed, it will reflect the pride of our city and the
pride of our people. |
