The term Hot Rod came out of the 50s
with cars being modified to ones tastes. Later came the
pin striping and flames used to decorate these cars. My penguin
is a reflection of this automotive art form, which has gotten
more and more refined since the 50s. I touched on a few
examples from the fading of colors to a multi colored pinstripe
design. With a traditional colored flame job up to the front,
the words Hot Rod fit well.
