Dr. Glenn Schaft is Director of Percussion Studies and Associate Professor at Youngstown State University where he has served since 1996. He directs the YSU Percussion Ensemble, teaches private lessons, group lessons, and Percussion Studio Class, performs with the Faculty Jazz Group, serves as faculty advisor for the Youngstown Percussion Collective, and is founder of the YPC Touring Ensemble, and the SMARTS Drum Circle Outreach Program. Glenn's performance and teaching credits include over thirty-seven years of experience in classical, contemporary, world, jazz, improvised, and popular music. He is a longstanding member of the Percussive Arts Society and presently serves on the Drumset Committee. Glenn is an educational artist endorser with Zildjian, ProMark, Remo, and an educational consultant with Black Swamp Percussion. Glenn recently served as executive producer of the Youngstown Percussion Collective recording entitled "Forms Of Things Unknown, which has received widespread critical acclaim and is available on I-Tunes and CD Baby.
