•Ohio Arts Council - International Arts 2000, awarded a $2500 grant to attend the Cuban Folkloric Music and Dance Workshop in Havana, Cuba, summer 1994. Studied with master Folkloric drummers Fermin Nani, Santiago Nani and many others.
•University of Minnesota Duluth, Emma LaVoie, a percussion major was awarded an Undergraduate Research Opportunity Grant to study “20th Century Percussion Ensemble Literature: An Awareness Through Survey and Telephone Interviews”, $1025.00 Award. Served as grant writing advisor.

Glenn was born in Berea, Ohio and presently lives in Poland, Ohio with his wife Sara - a professional violinist, and their twin sons - Lewis and Karl. Glenn enjoys coral reef aquariums and fly-fishing.
