Kevin Kifer

Kevin is currently the drumline advisor and arranger for the Youngstown State University “Marching Pride”.Kevin, who grew up in northeast Ohio, received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education / Percussion from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. While at UC, Kevin performed with the “Bearcat” Marching Band for four seasons, as well as many other ensembles in the conservatory.Kevin was a marching member of the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps for their 1996 season and the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps for their 1997 season. While a student in Cincinnati, Kevin was the Battery Caption Head for the Cincinnati Glory Drum and Bugle Corps for their 1998 and 1999 seasons. He also served on the drumline staff for the “Bearcat” Marching bands for two seasons.

After graduating from UC, Kevin returned to northeast Ohio were he is currently a band director with the Warren City Schools in Warren, Ohio. Kevin has worked with high school drumlines in Ohio, Kentucky and Texas. He is currently advisor and arranger for the Warren G. Harding High School “Raider” Drumline in Warren, Ohio.Kevin also spent a few seasons as the drumline advisor and arranger for the Kent State University “Golden Flashes” Marching Band. Kevin received his Master of Music in Music Education from Youngstown State University and has now been teaching in the public schools for 12 years. Kevin joined the “Marching Pride” staff in 2010. Kevin is a member of the worship team at North-Mar church in Warren, Ohio and has performed in several area musicals.

Kevin lives in Cortland, Ohio with his wife, Jenna, and his son, Dominic.
