Spin Cycle was produced by music director Dr. Stephen Gage and features the Youngstown State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble. It includes standard and new repertoire and features Dana School of Music students and faculty members.
Spin Cycle features Glenn Schaft performing Dr. David Morgan's Reactions for drumset and wind ensemble. Commissioned in 2003 by Glenn Schaft and Stephen Gage, Reactions is perhaps the only percussion/wind band concerto dedicated entirely to the drumset.
Spin Cycle won the prestigious Down Beat Magazine "Best Classical Symphonic Band" Award in its 2005 "28th Student Music Awards" competition.
