Online Challenge Program Proposal

Experiential learning is hands-on and revolves around the idea that people can develop their strengths and acknowledge their weaknesses best, through experience. The purpose of the Campus Recreation Challenge Program is to provide exciting experiential learning opportunities that focus on teambuilding, leadership development, and problem solving skills while increasing individual awareness, self-esteem and respect for individual differences. Campus Recreation Challenge Programs are custom tailored to meet your group's individual needs. Once you choose one of our base programming packages, our highly trained staff will work with you to develop and facilitate a variety of initiatives and activities aimed at getting the most out of your team or group.

Team Climb
Flad Mountain is a 53 ft. tall indoor rock wall that can serve proficiently as a team-building challenge obstacle. The rock wall can be utilized by a group or individually to help people overcome fears and to liberate them from their comfort zone. It can also develop team communication and encouragement. Groups can be facilitated through trust and teambuilding activities that seek usage of the rock wall. Activities on the rock wall include physically and mentally demanding climbs from the bottom up or breathtaking rappels from the top down.

Team Challenge Program
Does your group want to become more effective as team players? Need to improve communication between co-workers? Want to offer your staff/team a unique and fun retreat? The Department of Campus Recreation at Youngstown State University has just the program for you! The Team Challenge Program provides adventure challenge opportunities to help your group reach its full potential. These adventure-challenge opportunities are facilitated in the form of hand-on, group-based initiatives by our highly trained staff.

Elevated Course Challenge Program
Utilizing the Elevated Challenge Course, suspended high off the ground, we facilitate a variety of element and team building activities, a designed to take participants to new heights. Participants demonstrate their physical and mental strengths as they reach individual and group goals. The course promotes teamwork, group problem-solving skills, communication, and both individual and group growth. As your group meets each challenge, feelings of accomplishment, self-worth, trust, and group effectiveness are stimulated. The course builds self-confidence and personal leadership skills while developing personal and group relationships.

Challenge Games
If your team needs to obtain that competitive drive or wants to develop team-building skills through competitive nature, your can also achieve your goals here. Our staff can facilitate your group through a series of games and challenges which strive to develop teambuilding, leadership, trust, and communications, while maintaining a competitive edge.

Custom Challenge Program
The Department of Campus Recreation provides excellent experience combining the various Campus Rec Challenge Program options. We are able to provide custom combinations of any or all of the Team Climb, Team Challenge, and Elevated Challenge Course programs to better improve your learning experience and better serve your goals.
