Job Descriptions

Please review the following student entry level positions within the Department of Campus Recreation and Student Programming:

Academic Internship (Click Here for Description) – Academic related position, paid/unpaid work experience (Internships/Practicum/In-service)

Fitness Instructor I (Click Here for Description)-  Responsible for leading students and members of all ages, backgrounds and fitness capabilities through safe, effective and motivating group fitness or personal training sessions. 

GAI (Click Here for Description) - Supervise student staff and assist with development and implementation of programs.

IM Official I (Click Here for Description) - Officiate Intramural Team Sports including flag football, basketball, softball, floor hockey, soccer, and other seasonal team sports, provide Pre-game assistance, and assist in setting up equipment for the evening and/or weekend activities.

Lifeguard 1 (Click Here for Description) - Responsible for opening and closing the Aquatic Center.  Student lifeguards are expected to comply with and enforce all Aquatic Center rules and state-mandated regulations to ensure the health and safety of all patrons. They must test and record chemical readings.

Student Monitor (Click Here for Description) - Assist with the following: monitor the usage of facility, equipment, and/ or programs during hours of operation, provide information about building hours, programs, policies and procedures, record hourly and program participation stats.
