What inspires me most: Seeing a rider “truly” get it! When that light comes on inside an athletes body that eventually takes them to that next level of training. It’s really amazing to witness the positive direction (both mentally & physically) that takes over.

My education and/or certifications: Trained in Yoga Level I, II & III, Yoga for Seniors, Yoga Core, Certified in Pilates, and SPINNING. I have a BSBA in Business Management and a MA in Economics, both from YSU. I have been teaching micro and macroeconomics at KSU (and sometimes YSU) for the past 4 years.

What inspires me most: I believe my daughter inspires me to be all I can be! I also try to see the good in everything! My yoga students constantly inspire me to challenge their bodies beyond where they are comfortable!

Classes I Teach: This semester I am teaching SPINNING, Butts N Guts, Pilates and Shake It Up.  I have experience teaching Zumba, Water Aerobics and also Dance. 

My education and/or certifications: I recently graduated from YSU with a Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition. I was the Group X Intern for 3 years and I have passed it on to Stephen Horn!

What inspires me most: To stay healthy and make it fun for people to work out so that they enjoy it!

Being healthy and achieving your own personal goals is about the changes and transformations along the way. When I begin to notice results in my own lifestyle, or see the changes my participants make, it inspires me to continue to work hard each and every day.

Stephen Horn

Name: Stephen Horn

Classes I Teach: Spinning, Fusion Strength and Zumba

My education and/or certifications: This is my first year as Group X intern and had and awesome mentor/leader Jessica Giancola. I am Certified SPINNING Instructor through MADD DOGG Athletics, NETA Group X Certified and a certified Zumba Instructor. I am also certified in CPR through the American Red Cross and have several hours of CEU’s.

What inspires me most: When I see my classes having fun and enjoying fitness and gaining the results that they are looking for. I also enjoy seeing my class workout together and build each other up even when they are not in a classroom setting. This lets me know that Group Fitness is important to a lot of people and it makes the hours I teach worthwhile.

My education and/or certifications: Coach Mark has been training & studying for 38 years. He was a member of the United States National Wu-Shu/Tai-Chi Team from 1994 to 1997, ranked 10th in the Nation, 2nd place for tai-chi straight-sword & 3rd place for tai-chi empty-hand forms. Coach Mark has performed at Walt Disney World FL., Chinatowns in New York City, Chicago & Toronto as well as the National Mayors Convention in Cleveland and the opening of the Confucious Institute in Akron at E.J.Thomas Hall & for the Peking Acrobats at Akron Civic Theater.

Locally Coach Mark has performed at Powers Auditorium & Packard Music Hall.
Coach Mark holds a 3rd. Degree Black-Sash in Chinese Shao-Lin Kung-Fu & Tai-Chi Chuan. He can also speak Mandarin & Cantonese languages. Coach Mark's teacher-linage has been' the late' Master Ong Fee-Man, Si-Fu John R. Allen, Si-Fu Jimmy Yee, Si-Fu Nick Gracenin, GrandMaster Bow-Sim Mak, Master Victor Fu, Master Daniel Weng & the late GrandMaster Chang Dong-Shong.

What inspires me most: What inspires me most is the hunger in my students for more and more knowledge of Chinese tai-chi and kung-fu!
