Incentive Programs

Sign up for the REC’s FREE incentive program today. All activities are held in the Andrews Student Recreation & Wellness Center, Beeghly Center, & Stambaugh Stadium. Earn points by doing specific activities offered by each Department. Your activities will be turned into points and logged by the Health Educators. The more you visit, the more points you earn! Prizes will be awarded to each participant according to points earned.

Fall Incentive Program

12 Days Of Fitness
Minimum: 3   
Price: Free to students and Andrews members
Registration: Administrative Office of Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center
Start Date: December 1, 2009
End Date: December 12, 2009
Location: Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center
YSU’s Campus Rec Center wants to help you stay motivated and stress-free during the holiday season by offering you the 12 Days Of Fitness. Registration begins December 1, 2009 in the administrative office of Campus Rec where at that time you will receive your first workout card. Each day after, you will pick up a new workout card from the control desk. You must complete the workout as described on the card, have it validated by an Andrews employee and then drop the card off at the end of each workout in any of the 12 Days of Fitness baskets to be eligible for the prize drawing.

Know Your Numbers Session 1
Price: Free to students and Andrews Members
Date: January 19-22, 2010

*BONUS: When you participate in any of the tests during the Know Your Numbers Week Session 1 you can earn up to 50 Bonus points towards the Get Fit! Spring Incentive program!
Knowing your numbers is an important first step to developing a base line and understanding how to make smart decisions about your health. During the week of January 18-22, 2010 the Department of Campus Rec & Student Programming will be holding a Know Your Numbers Week (session 1).  Each day during this week you will be able to participate in a fitness test that will allow you to assess where you stand for the health component being tested and help you develop new fitness goals. The following is a list of physical health components that can be tested: muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, blood pressure, body composition, and flexibility. You developed a baseline and made the first step in improving your health by identifying how your numbers were against the components of fitness.  Now it is time to follow up and reassess your numbers so you can continue to make new goals and improve your health and lifestyle. The Department of Campus Recreation & Student Programming will once again be holding a Know Your Numbers Week Session 2 (March 22-26).  The same components of fitness will be tested allowing for assessment and comparison of results.  For more information please call 330-941-2207.
