Wellness Programs

Located in the Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center, the Wellness Resource Center is the hub of fitness, health, and wellness information on campus. Computers are on hand to search the Internet for health tips, and a library of informational books and multimedia is available for research. Health educators are on staff to answer any questions and provide students, faculty, and staff with informational pamphlets on many important topics. Also, Table Talk presentations on various health issues are offered throughout the school year and are free to everyone. Make an appointment to meet with our Registered Dietitian, Chrystyna Zellers, for FREE! Sign-up for a total-body fitness assessment given by trained personnel for FREE! Nutrition Services
Meet with Chrystyna Zellers, RD, LD, a board certified nutritionist/dietitian. This program offeres individual nutrition counseling for FREE by appointment and “Ask the Dietitian” sessions.

Appointments:

      Session 1- 30 minutes

      Session 2- 30 minutes

      Session 3- 1 hour

      Session 4- 30 minutes

      Mondays 12 pm-4 pm

      Wednesdays 2 pm-6 pm

      Thursdays 10 am-4 pm

“Ask the Dietitian”
Wednesdays 6-7 pm
“Ask the Dietitian” is a time dedicated to drop in nutritional questions. There is no  appointment needed, just stop by during the hour to quickly get a question answered.

Fitness Assessments
Sign-up for a FREE total-body fitness assessment given by trained personnel. The test areas include: cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility. The test will give you insight on your current fitness status and guide you to making new fitness goals. A fitness assessment is needed in order to start the personal training process.

Incentive Programs
Sign up for the REC’s FREE incentive program today. All activities are held in the Andrews Student Recreation & Wellness Center, Beeghly Center, & Stambaugh Stadium. Earn points by doing specific activities offered by each Department. Your activities will be turned into points and logged by the Health Educators. The more you visit, the more points you earn! Prizes will be awarded to each participant according to points earned.
