Fitness Assessments

Looking to start an exercise program, but don’t know where to begin? Stop by the Wellness Resource Center and sign up for a total body fitness assessment given by trained personnel. These assessments will test the five components of fitness: cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility. The test results will give you insight to your current status and information to make new fitness goals. Stop by the Wellness Resource Center, or call (330) 941-2241 with questions or to sign up.

Preparing for Your Fitness Assessment

  1. Wear loose fitting clothes (jogging attire, shorts, T-shirt, sneakers, etc.)
  2. Avoid eating or drinking for 3 hours before test
  3. Avoid exercising on the day of the test. Exercise will elevate your blood pressure and resting heart rate thereby invalidating your measurements
  4. Try to get a good night's sleep before the test
  5. Please inform your evaluater if you are suffering from any acute respiratory infection or related condition
  6. Complete the medical questionnaire,PAR-Q*, fitness evaluation and consent form. Please have them completed when you arrive for your test
  7. Please allot approximately ONE HOUR for your evaluation
