YSU Is Competing in the National Recycle Mania!

Harvard, Yale, Ohio University and OSU are some of the prestigious universities that YSU will compete against during the upcoming national Recycle Mania competition that begins January 18th and runs for 10 weeks. The purpose is to be the best recycling school in the nation! These are the top recycling universities in America, thus YSU needs to pour it on in order to do well.


How can students, faculty, and staff help?................RECYCLE!

Make sure that every piece of paper, every magazine, newspaper, phone book, brochure, manual, book, and all publications - end up in a recycling bin - and not in the trash. The same for beverage cans, glass and plastic containers #1-#5 - put them in the recycling bins. Although most cardboard is handled by the recycling student workers and janitorial staff - everyone need to make sure it is not trashed.

Everyone in the YSU community should phone Dan Kuzma, ext. 2294, ASAP to find out how they can increase recycling. More paper and can boxes and bins are available for the collection of recyclable materials.
