The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program is the most comprehensive and effective business assistance network in the nation. Its purpose is to help existing businesses develop and retain a competitive advantage in the ever-changing global economy, and to help entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership. SBDCs enhance economic development throughout the region, the state of Ohio and the country.
Locally, the Ohio SBDC program is a partnership of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Youngstown State University and the Ohio Department of Development. The Center serves residents of Ashtabula, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. Its mission is to provide professional, in-depth consulting and training to existing and new business ventures, and to foster a strong and successful business community.
