The PRESIDING OFFICER (Mr. Zachary BROWN) called the meeting to order at precisely (4:05 pm)
Mr. O’NEIL took roll call. [See: Attendance list is attached.]
Mr. BROWN summarized the meeting’s agenda and without objection the agenda and previous meeting’s minutes were approved.
EXECUTIVE BUSINESS:
Mr. Brown gave his oral report
Mr. Brown Explained way general meeting works

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Mr. Brkic was absent so,
Ms. Cullen gave Student Life committee reports

Mr. Brown Moved to Academic Affairs
Ms. Koneval gave Academic Affairs Report

Mr. Brown yielded to Ms. Peterson for University Affairs report
Ms. Peterson Gave University affairs report

Mr. Brown Yielded to Chair of Financial
Ms. Thomas gave report
Ms. Thomas yielded to Mr. O’Neil
Mr. O’Neil modified request from $300 to $100 for the cost of security

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Mr. Johnson asked that SGA look into students having issues with receiving funds from state offices.
Mr. Steffler expressed interest in the issue as well.
Mr. Brown opened discussion on this topic and recommended that university affairs take up the issue.
Ms. Peterson advised that she would be willing ot take up issue in her committee

NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Brown Opened new business giving students a few minutes to look over SB F 2009-02
Mr. Brown entertained motion to bring SB F 2009-02 to the floor
Ms. Koneval Motioned to bring SB F 2009-02 to the floor
Ms. D’orio 2nd
Ms. D’orio pointed out error in wording on Bill
Changed wording on SB F 2009-02 making appropriations from seven organizations to three organizations
Ms. D’orio motioned to amend section 3 of SB F 2009-02 to Read:
“YSU College Republicans is appropriated the sum of $100 to cover cost of security”
No objection, passed as friendly amendment
No other discussion
Ms. Stafford motioned to close
Ms. Koneval 2nd
Mr. Brown moved to voting on SB F 2009-02
Mr. Brown took verbal affirmation
