Football Heads to Fargo For Season Finale Against Bison
    The Youngstown State football team (5-5 overall and 3-4 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference) closes out the 2009 season on Saturday with a trip to North Dakota State. Kickoff for just the program's second trip to NDSU is set for 2 p.m. Eastern Time/1 p.m. Central Time. A win over the Bison gives the Penguins a winning record and an even mark in MVFC play. Coverage
Collection for Beatitude House Set for Nov. 22 Women's Hoops Game
Kaitlyn March       Youngstown -- The Youngstown State women's basketball team will collect needed items for the Beatitude House of Youngstown at its game on Nov. 22 against Canisius.
    Donations will be collected in the front lobby of Beeghly Center before, during and after the game. The project is being organized by women's basketball player Kaitlyn March for her senior community service project. Release
Boscaljon, Roidt Earn Horizon League Postseason Honors
     Senior Ruth Boscaljon and freshman Angela Roidt have been honored by the Horizon League for their outstanding 2009 volleyball season.
    Boscaljon, a middle hitter from Elgin, Ill., was named All-Horizon League for the second time in her career. Roidt, a setter from McFarland, Wis., joined Boscaljon and three other Penguins in school history to be named to the All-Newcomer Team. Release
Nortey Scores Career-High 20 as Guins Fall 70-55 to Kent State
Macey Nortey       Youngstown -- Youngstown State's Macey Nortey scored a career-high 20 points to lead three guards in double figures, but Kent State overcame an early deficit and kept the Guins at arms length in the second half to win 70-55.

Second-Half Run Leads Kent State Past Men's Basketball, 70-61
      Youngstown -- Youngstown State went eight-and-half minutes without a field goal in the second half, and Kent State turned a 40-40 game into an insurmountable 13-point lead in a 70-61 win on Wednesday at the Beeghly Center.
    YSU had tied the score for the third time in the second half when it missed eight consecutive shots from the floor as Kent State built a 53-40 lead with 7:40 remaining. Release | Stats | Slocum Audio
