2008: Went 5-3 with a 5.69 ERA in 17 appearances, 10 of which were starts... struck out 59 batters in 61.2 innings... was 2-0 with a 4.41 ERA against league opponents... was 4-0 with 38 strikeouts in 32.1 innings at home... ranked third in the Horizon League in strikeouts and tied for eighth in wins... earned his first win against IUP, allowing four runs in eight innings while striking out a career-high 11... did not walk a batter in what was his longest outing of the season... won his last four decisions, two of which came against 30-win teams... earned the win against UIC, allowing two runs in three innings of relief (April 11)... allowed three runs and struck out nine in a complete-game, seven-inning victory over Niagara (April 15)... defeated Milwaukee five days later, surrendering three runs on six hits while striking out nine in 6.2 innings (April 20)... won at West Virginia despite allowing five runs in five innings (May 12)... was one of only six visiting pitchers to win in Morgantown... allowed one unearned run on four hits in five innings at Georgia Tech (Feb. 23)... threw two scoreless innings of relief against Valparaiso to combine with Corey Vukovic for YSU's only shutout of the year (April 5).

 

2007 Summer: Went 5-1 with a 2.92 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 49.1 innings for the Staunton Braves of the Valley League ... tied for the team lead in victories and starts ... held opponents to a .207 batting average and walked just 18 ... played with teammate Josh Page.

2007: Tied the school single-season record for starts with 14 ... earned four wins, three of which came against Horizon League opponents ... tied for fifth among Horizon League pitchers in opponents’ batting average (.280) and starts (14) and was seventh in strikeouts (55) ... also ranked 15th in ERA (5.72) ... went 4-4 after dropping his first three decisions ... struck out a season-high seven batters on three different occasions ... held opponents to four earned runs or fewer in nine starts, including a stretch of five straight starts in March ... earned his first win at Morehead State, allowing two earned runs on three hits in six innings (3/11) ... also won his next start at Butler, holding the Bulldogs to one run on eight hits in six innings (3/24) ... held Milwaukee to one run on four hits in 7.1 innings to earn the win (4/15) ... also defeated Butler by allowing three runs in seven innings (4/28) ... threw 8 1/3 scoreless innings at UIC before losing 1-0 on a suicide squeeze in the ninth on March 31.

Compiled an ERA of 2.48 in 10 appearances spanning 54 1/3 innings as a sophomore…earned Second-Team All-Region 20 honors ... was a member of the All American Amateur Baseball Association national title winning Maryland Orioles team in the summer of 2006.
