Won five consecutive decisions from April 5 to May 13, including earning the win each
of the last three times he took the mound in the regular season… Struck out 22 batters
in 13.2 innings in his final two regular season starts - both came against Valparaiso...
Fanned 10 in 6.2 innings at Valpo on May 2... Struck out 12 and allowed two runs on two
hits - one a wind-aided homer that broke up his shutout in the fifth - against Valpo
on May 9... The other hit was a soft single to right... More Crusaders struck out in
his seven innings than put the ball in play... Threw 3.2 innings of scoreless relief
to beat Buffalo in the regular season finale (5/13)… Went at least six innings in each
of his last seven starts of the regular season… Held Butler to one run on six hits in
six innings on April 5 to earn his first win... Threw seven scoreless innings and allowed
five hits in a combined 1-0 shutout against Cleveland State (4/12)… Was the Horizon League
Scholar-Athlete of the Month for April, posting a 3.81 GPA to go with his talent on the
mound… Had a 1.00 ERA in nine innings out of the bullpen… Earned his save at Marshall
(3/15).
2008 | Freshman
Went 1-1 with an 11.09 ERA in 18.2 innings... made nine appearances,
three of which were starts... surrendered just three extra-base hits, but walked 19...
the Penguins went 2-1 in his three starts... made his collegiate debut at Georgia Tech,
allowing five runs in 1.2 innings (Feb. 22)... rebounded to throw a scoreless inning
at Alabama (March 9)... made his first start against Xavier and earned his first career
victory... allowed one run on four hits and struck out a season-high five batters in
6.1 innings (March 13)... also started at Akron, allowing four runs in 3.2 innings in
a losing effort (March 26)... allowed two runs and struck out four in three innings against
Duquesne (April 2)... did not take the mound after May 9.

Was a two-year letterwinner for the Golden Lions ... was Lincoln's
ace his senior year, going 4-2 with a 1.92 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 43 2/3 innings pitched
... had a strikeout to walk ratio of 4.91:1 ... went 6-1 with a 2.48 ERA and 78 strikeouts
in 62 innings during the summer ... earned honorable mention all-district honors ...
