Did not allow a hit against the Golden Flashes, but two of his walks came around
to score once he exited... Threw scoreless innings of relief at Towson (3/7) and
at Pittsburgh (3/25)... Struck out a career-high three batters in 5.1 innings of
relief at James Madison (3/11)... Made his debut in the season opener at Georgia
(2/20).

Was a two-year letterwinner for the nationally-competitive Pirates
... helped lead Seton Hall Prep to three straight Non-Public A state championships
... his junior year, the team went 32-1 and was ranked first nationally by USA Today,
Sports Illustrated and Collegiate Baseball ... the 2007 squad also won the Iron
Hills Conference title, the Newark Tournament Tournament and the New Jersey State
Interscholastic Athletic Association title ... pitched with Rick Porcello, the 27th
overall pick by the Detroit Tigers who was rated the top high school pitcher in
the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft.
