Made seven starts and four appearances out of the bullpen... Finished 0-4 with a 10.70 ERA... Struggled with his control, allowing 35 walks in 35.1 innings... His third start was his best, which is when he held Towson to two runs on five hits in six innings in a no decision (3/8)... Allowed two runs on three hits and four walks the start prior at VMI (2/28)... Held Milwaukee to one run on four hits in 4.1 innings of relief (4/18)... Did not allow an earned run in an inning of relief against Toledo (5/12).

2008 | Freshman

Made nine relief appearances and one start... finished 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA in 23 innings... was dominant in his start at Penn State, allowing one run on three hits in eight innings in a no-decision (April 23)... held the Nittany Lions scoreless through seven, and their run in the eighth happened after a fly ball to center was lost in the sky and resulted in a triple... left with a 4-1 lead... struck out three in the game while walking four... allowed a one-out double in the first, then held Penn State hitless until a leadoff single in the seventh... held opponents without an earned run in four of his relief appearances... made his debut at Alabama, throwing two shutout innings... also tossed two scoreless frames against Ohio (April 16)... did not yield an earned run in 1.2 innings against Kent State (May 13) or 0.1 innings at Toledo (April 8)... struck out three batters twice... threw a season-long four innings out of the bullpen against Tiffin (April 3).

Was a three-year letterwinner ... was a Second-Team All-Ohio Capital Conference selection as a first baseman his senior year ... awarded for being a Scholar Athlete ... also played golf and basketball.
