Football: Johnson, Ryan Earn All-America Honors
Youngstown, Ohio -- YSU senior linebacker Tim Johnson
was named a first-team All-American
by Don Hansen's Football Gazette
while junior quarterback Jeff Ryan
was an honorable-mention selection.
Johnson, who had 180 tackles as a senior, has also been
selected to the AFCA, The Associated
Press and SportsNetwork All-America
Teams.
Ryan, a junior who was a second-team All-Gateway Football
Conference Pick, finished the year
with 1,416 yards passing and 15
touchdowns while rushing for 349
yards and three scores. |
