Football: Burley TSN Special Teams Player of
the Week

Jerald Burley was named The Sports
Network's National Special Teams
Player of the Week, the service
announced on Monday. Eastern
Washington's Jesse Chatham and Holy
Cross quarterback Brian Hall earned
offensive honors while Grambling
free safety Denmark Reed earned
defensive honors.
Burley, who was the Gateway's player of the week,
returned a punt 77 yards for a
touchdown in the Penguins’ 44-30
victory over Illinois State on
Saturday. It was YSU’s first punt
return for a touchdown since Dec.
12, 1992. He also caught a 33-yard
touchdown pass and had two solo
special teams tackles.
